Abstract:

In their Article "Overcoming the Barriers to Innovation" Claude Dreyer from I3PM and Herb Nestler analyse the difficulties inherent to the patent-driven innovation process, and show that a structured internet portal linking all the stakeholders of the process could help to increase the success rate of innovation. Such a portal will link inventors, attorneys, patent offices, and business partners around the globe in an open business-to-business environment. Strong network externalities can be expected.

The International Institute for IP Management (I3PM) has formed a strategic alliance with the International IP Strategists Association (INTIPSA) as part of its efforts to contribute to advanced approaches in IP strategy development.
